According to Webster's Dictionary, knowledge is "the fact or condition of knowing something with familiarity gained through experience or association". It can also be seen as skills acquired through experience or education, the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.

Your knowledge could be your gift just like the bible put it in Psalm 18:16 - I like the way the New living translation put it - it says…  a gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great.

The knowledge of a person, if properly used can open great days of opportunities for them. Whatever you know and does not create actions in you is not knowledge. Knowledge is understanding that sets you into action. If you have a vision, drive it (Hab 2:3). Let people see it, let your prospective investors see it and come, don’t go running after them

The Bible says Wisdom is profitable to direct, you have a great business idea, and you don’t have the finance to start, why not engage in partnership? Engage in partnership when you have the skills and partner with others that may also have the finance to support your vision.

Here are some SMART goals you should have to help you start well as an entrepreneur:

  1. S – SKILLED: Know your craft, be skillful at what you do. Grow your entrepreneurial skills. Remember, you can’t give what you don’t have.
  2. M – MEASURABLE: Your goal must be measurable. Have a measurement plan for your goal.
  3. A – ACHIEVABLE: Your goal should be achievable. Ask yourself, if that goal is something you can achieve within the time stipulated for it and weighing all factors around you, whether financial, human, environmental or something else, to know if it is something that can be achieved.
  4. R – REALISTIC: Your goal must be realistic. It should not be abstract. It relates to achievable.
  5. T – TIME-BOUND: Your goal must be time-bound. It should have a start and a finish time, just like every project. The goal you have at hand, see it as a project. Know when every bit of the goal is to be achieved until you get to the completion stage. Time is so precious, get the most out of each day.
