On 2nd July 2019, the Kodehauz team together with the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Eket Branch went on an industrial visit to Cypher Crescent which is located in Port Harcourt.
On our arrival, we were formally welcomed by one of the staff Mrs. Ogbede Lydia who directed us to the meeting room.
The CEO of Cypher Crescent Mr. ThankGod welcomed us and also introduced himself and gave a brief introduction about the company.
The Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Eket Branch and also the Mentor of KodeHauz Engr. Aniebiet Udoh gave a brief speech and also introduced those who were with him.
He stated that he wants the Young Engineers to see that they can make an impact even with little knowledge.
He thanked Cypher Crescent for their support during the Engineering week and said he expected more partnership between the two organizations. He emphasized that there is a great need for Nigerian engineers to become problem solvers. He handed the award of recognition for outstanding contribution to the practice of engineering.
Mr. ThankGod handled the introduction of the foremost R&D company, the company’s set up 100% Nigerians, no foreign technical expert.
We want people to draw inspiration from what is happening in Cypher Crescent.
Mr. Lawrence Akubue, the manager of KodeHauz asked for a brief history of the company. Mr. Aniekan Udo stated that it started with a computer center with few computers (integral computers). The company was fully incorporated in 2012.
He said that the formative years were certainly distressing and were difficult to inspire the workers.
In June 2016 they made their first commercial sale.
Engr. Peter encouraged the company to create a culture to ensure the growth of each member. They took us on a quick outlook of their stand breaking software, SEPAL Well and reservoir management solution and how it works.
It was indeed a very scintillating visit, that had all of the attendees inspired and full of praise for the management of KodeHauz.
